Power to PrEP

Creative communications strategies developed to attract participants for the University of Washington’s IMPOWER Clinical Trial; a study on the groundbreaking new iteration of the PrEP HIV prevention and treatment pill. As the trial focused on young women in Sub-Saharan Africa, the client wanted to create strategies that also helped to spread HIV awareness amongst the target demographic and provide resources to support their sexual health.

“Socilo” App Development

For the capstone project of a design course, I developed a unique app concept and brand from the ground up.

The app—which I named “Socilo”—was born out of my frustration with constantly screenshotting locations people I followed posted at, with no real place to save or organize those places. Inspired by the personalized algorithms of Spotify and Instagram, Socilo is an AI-driven travel planning app that uses social media preferences to recommend places for users to visit.

Socilo functions like a Yelp/Instagram hybrid; it suggests travel experiences for users, displays social posts taken at each location, curates themed itineraries, and connects similar users.

Eva NYC: Earth Day

In celebration of Earth Day, I created spec content and a campaign for social media promoting Eva NYC’s commitment to treating the planet with the same care as your hair. The brand has recently cemented itself as a major player in sustainable haircare with a commitment to the environment in it’s development plans: including 100% recyclable product packaging, becoming free of virgin plastic in hair tools, offsetting carbon emissions from travel, and achieving B-Corp certification by 2024.

In light of these brand shifts, Eva NYC has a unique opportunity to promote and distinguish itself from other brands around Earth Day, and this content seeks to highlight its proven dedication to the environment. These assets center the Eva’s NYC’s mission to be kind to both your hair and the planet. The design (done by yours truly) adheres to the brand’s visual style featuring retro typefaces, gradient color palettes, and clean composition.

“We’re all about being kind: to your hair, to animals, and to our planet. That’s why our products are free of harsh chemicals, vegan-certified, cruelty free, and now 100% recyclable—forever. 💜

#ReduceReuseRestyle Campaign

To put a spotlight on Eva NYC’s new 100% recyclable packaging and engage their online community, the brand will launch the #ReduceReuseRestyle social media challenge: prompting users to recycle their 2nd day hair by ‘Restyling’ it with their Freshen Up Invisible Dry Shampoo.

The campaign will be promoted across various social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Twitter) at the beginning of April. Influencers will be sent product samples to kick off the campaign, and regular customers who currently use or are thinking of purchasing the product will be encouraged to share their looks as well. The best content will be shared on the brand’s pages throughout the month, leading up to Earth Day when .

Spotify Playlists

While working with Broadway Direct, I crafted copy to accompany various types of posted content. One main copy project I headed was for our weekly Spotify playlists; writing introductions to the themed mix I had curated to support openings and seasonal campaigns. This intro copy was used in the playlist description on Spotify, social media captioning, and site embeds.

Happy International Women’s Day! This weekend we’ll be celebrating the ladies in our lives, and the achievements of women worldwide.

In honor of the holiday, we’ve rounded up a list of the best Girl Power anthems Broadway has to offer. This mix is full of tracks that celebrate the strong female characters in musical theatre, who have brought stories to the stage of women exceeding all expectations and coming into their own.

Whether you’re a “Dancing Queen,” “The Sparkling Diamond,” or simply “Fabulous, Baby!,” this playlist will have you feeling inspired and empowered to take on the world. Grab your girlfriends and turn the volume on high; you might just end up “Defying Gravity” before the playlist is through.

Ever since The Sound of Music Live! launched the original live musical trend in 2013, fans have enjoyed being able to catch their favorite Broadway musicals right at home on their own TVs.

In this playlist, we take a look back on the best music from these epic TV events; including live recordings of pop stars, Broadway favorites, and brand new faces taking on musical theatre classics and contemporary pieces alike.

From Aaron Tveit hitting the high notes as Danny Zuko, to Sara Bareilles lending her soulful voice to an Andrew Lloyd Webber score, there’s a live musical moment for everyone in this collection.

The movie musical genre has been a Hollywood staple ever since they introduced sound to cinema. And despite the film industry’s changes, movie musicals remain a constant–being reimagined to audiences in ways that align with our current media landscape.

While we’ve look forward to the countless musical films in the works, this compilation takes a look at iconic movie musicals of the past and present. From the MGM golden era masterpieces such as The Wizard of Oz and Singin’ in the Rain, to modern imaginings like La La Land and The Greatest Showman, these songs will have you looking forward to the next movie musical to hit theaters.

The romance was fun while it lasted, but it's time to officially break up with the season of love. Saying goodbye is always hard, but there's nothing a bit of musical therapy can’t fix.

From the sad, unrequited love in “On My Own” and “I’m Not That Girl,” to the burning rage felt in “You Oughta Know” and “El Tango de Roxanne,” this playlist covers all of the stages that you’ll go through during a breakup. Crank up the volume and sing along to get some much-needed catharsis, and you’ll be able to “Forget About the Boy” and “Walk Like A Man” in no time.
